MY ABSOLUTE PASSION

Thrift Stores are therapy for me!
I can go in a store and get my buggy and totally get
lost for awhile! There is music playing, people bouncing
around, employees stocking from their carts,
kids totally out of control,
and yet I find a little peace as I browse through out the store.

This is my most frequented thrift store!
It's on Orchard between Emerald and Franklin.
It is also in my "Bubble."
I Like the staff, and once in a while I can find a treasure but, they tend to over price!

This Idaho Youth Ranch on Orchard street, has a huge and well organized book department! A whole room devoted to books.

To buy or not to buy?

Oh, a definate YES! Buy it!

Cute as a Bug, but a little "Frumpy."

WOW!

Love you Mecale! We have to do more thrifting together!

Mother and Daughter, is it worth it or not?
Yes it was worth it.

Another store within my " Bubble."

Yes! Mecale is joining us.

This was one of my best finds at the " NAC "
A beautiful batik, old and very detailed from China.

Good thrift store, but a bit disorganized.

Fun store, but now are joining in with all the other thrift stores, marking up collectibles above or equal to Antique store prices!
What happened to the "thrift?"

But does the over pricing of thrift store items
stop me? No, ticks me off, but every once in awhile
I find something they have missed! :)
An absolute treasure being tucked away in Cindy Lou's trunk!

More than one treasure!
What a happy Cindy Lou!

Thrifting with friends
makes for a "treasured day!"

SWEET " FERAL " KITTENS - WHO BECOME BIG CATS

Hey everyone who watches this post!
Sorry for not posting for a while .....
but sometimes life gets in the way! This post is about Feral Cats and Kittens.
Love them but get freaking freaked out about them!
They tend to be rampant in our back yard!

See how sweet these little kittens are?
Okay now I will be mean, I don't know what happened to them!

Because of their blue eyes I think they turned into the White Kittens as they
grew older, infact I am sure of it!

The three White Siamese!
MAMA Cat can sure produce a diversified litter!

This sweet little one, who Mark named Piglet, was captured and neutered, and then released
again into our backyards!

Mama Cat

I know this picture is blurry ( they won't even let you out the back door before they scatter ).
Three of the white Siamese and a little black one I have named Knee High ( because of white socks coming up to his knee's).

Knee High!

Sweet little kittens grow up to be BIG cats!
Still can't help but to get attached ....
But what if our backyard becomes a Cat Haven?
HELP.......

A REQUEST

A RE-VAMPED ( WORK IN PROGRESS ) ROOM

This room is a work in progress!
It used to be my "work room" and since I never worked in it
I am now making it a TV room, also housing my many projects!

Trying to go for the Industrial look.
Got this cute little table at a thrift store for $8.00.

Karastan Wool Rug ..... free!
Ask me later.

Make do steel rack until I can purchase what I want.
But, I like it!

Old window, but might switch it out...

Collection of wire baskets, decided to make them " Wall Art".

The clip on the wire basket is an original.
Procured it from my Mum, was in Ted's desk drawer collection.

These pool balls are "Bakelite"...

Small view of my cigar box collection..
and yes they all hold many treasures!

ELFIE!!!!
