This is the last leg of our journey on the train. When we switched trains in Chicago we boarded the  Lake Shore #48, heading to Albany, New York.

And now I will quit being a BLOG HOG.
Thank-you my dear friend Cindy for letting me

CHICAGO

We had a six hour lay-over in Chicago..We had some fun.
We ended our stop over by watching Boise State cream Georgia at a crazy pub inside Union Station.

What a City!

Love this picture ... a single woman in a jungle!

Yes, that's Mary's head.

Had Mary take these pic's of the fire escapes...
always have seen them in the movies.

My very favorite picture of Chicago!

 Chicago Sun-Times in the background..Huge!

An  Icon, as far as Rail Road Stations go....So imposingly beautiful.

MARK HAS ARRIVED IN DODGE

Is Mark delirious? Probably..
Mark arrived Wednesday, August 31st.
Spent the night and then took off early the next morning.
We plan to meet in Albany Sunday, September 4th.
Mary and I will be arriving via Amtrak.

Praying a safe journey for Mark
We stayed at the Dodge House for 3 days.
These murals were on the walls.

Guess we were bored.

Sad good-byes.

KS. TO N.Y. CONTINUED

Did I mention the train we are on is the SOUTHWEST CHIEF ?

Waking up just as the train pulls into Kansas City.

Tired

So Pretty..
Not talking about the scenery.

Riding the train gives you time to catch up on some serious
reading!

Enjoying the view up in the Observation Deck.
No, Mary is not puffing on a cigarette.. just a sucker.

Getting close to Chicago..
Will switch trains there.

MORE TO COME !

DODGE CITY, KS. TO GLENS FALLS, N.Y.

I arrived in Dodge City, KS. August 16th.
The plan is to help my daughter, Mary, get ready to move to up state
New York. A big step up in her career as a Sports Journalist.

I am already having fun! Ha! Ha!

Okay, you may think that the animal pictured on the side of this truck is a Koala Bear (like I did )...but NO, it is an extinct  red furry Panda. Who would of guessed?

Yes, I am behind the wheel of a U-Haul.
Small step for some, but big step for me.
We had to drive about 80 miles to pick this truck up.
Whoa.....

One of Mary's co-workers, Paul, turned out to help.
Plus an "Old Timer" from the apartment complex. Of
course Mary had never seen this old guy before, but he was full
of excellent advise, seriously!

Paul was a huge help.
His only reward was one glazed donut.

Pretty Dani, also a huge help loading the U-Haul.
Dani is pursuing a Media Career in Sports, but
in a different line then Mary, Broadcast. A strong Christian
young woman,
who is an excellent friend to Mary.
I know we will see more of her, Love you Dani ..

U-HAUL loaded.

Dodge personified. ( Not you Dani ).

Mary's reward to me! Yum Yum!
Whoops, forgot to share.

LOT'S MORE TO COME......
