Another chapter of our fabulous beach trip in late January.
Summerland California. Pretty place near Santa Barbara. Our hosts took us to a sanctuary garden shoppe. Cant quite remember the name of the place but it was peaceful and serene. Lots of nooks and crannies indoors and out to explore. The proprietor served us tea.
Now that I live somewhere where they don't grow, I really appreciate all the citrus trees and smells. Love these lemon trees. I want.
Our hosts street. Constant glimpses of that gorgeous ocean, an everyday occurrence.
Ventura California
Our view outside the timeshare the husband
found on Craig's list.
In perfect life, there would always be a morning walk on the beach.
My old faithful friend. The ocean, Ventura style.
I think there were some babies!
These might look like duplicates but I'm sure if you look closely there's something fresh to "I spy."
You could just sit here in solitude and dwell on every little good thing that has come your way, or just soak up more of ....more.
Even the lower part of the palm tree is fascinating. That's what I miss the most apparently, the palm trees and the citrus. And of course that ocean!
Ventura Harbor
We just happened to be there during the tall ships visit to the Ventura Harbor. There were tours and sailings giving guests a taste of 18th century maritime life.
Proper care and feeding of ships in the harbor I guess. Just lift 'em up and power wash and paint 'em!
The Martha Washington (black and yellow ship) aka The Black Pearl used in one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Redondo Beach.
Dining alfresco early morning right on the pier, enjoying all the sights and sounds living near the ocean brings.
